Stefan Benz Partner, General Counsel

Stefan Benz has been working in private equity for 15 years as an attorney and in-house counsel, adding extensive legal and tax expertise to the REIA team.

Stefan studied law with a focus on corporates, capital markets, and tax at the University of Passau. He began his career as an attorney at Poellath+, a leading German law firm specializing on private equity and M&A. At Poellath+, Stefan was involved in numerous corporate transactions, particularly company acquisitions by private equity funds. Since 2017, Stefan has been working for a family office which is affiliated to REIA. As the Head of Investments (Legal), he oversees corporate investments of this family office in the DACH region, and the USA and has a special focus on tax and legal structuring of investments. Stefan serves on the advisory board of Deon Digital AG, a software company based in Zurich.

In his leisure time, Stefan enjoys sports, regularly attends concerts and has a strong interest in exploring foreign countries and cultures.
